President's Corner

Hello everyone and thanks for taking a minute to read Board Talk.

I am wrapping up another year as President and it always amazes me how quickly time slips away.

I was honored to present the Realtor of the Year award last month to Paula Gilley.

She has been one of our all time most dedicated agents serving CCBOR for 50 years.

Please congratulate her and give her thanks when you get a chance.

Another dedicated board volunteer has been leading the way.

Linda McKinnon has once again brought home the Maryland CARE award.

We now have $9,000 to share with 5 local charities.

This happened because of Linda's leadership and the dedication of CARE chairs Laura L'talien & Ronnie Boyd and the outstanding care committee members. It also reflects on the collective good will of all of you. Special mention of thanks to Natalie Goldsmith for producing the excellent video. Cecil County has an incredible record of success in this area (over $91,000 in charity has been delivered by this committee) and it is because of the ongoing good deeds of our membership. Please keep up the good work and make sure the CARE committee knows when you do something positive for your community.

As you know, many new contract changes went into effect on October 1st.

Make sure you take advantage of the upcoming contract changes class being offered by Peter Kirsh at the Convention.

I hope you are all satisfied with the performance of this board. Maybe not perfect, but I know it is in good financial condition and I also feel our AE Natalie Goldsmith & Brenda Leber have it running smoothly now after a going through period of transition.

(It is always easy to judge from the sidelines)

Thank you to everyone, especially our board of directors, committee chairs and committee members for contributing to our success and remember, we all should always be striving for continual improvement. If you have something good to say, speak up and join a committee.

Lastly, please join me in wishing incoming President Ed Campbell a great year. See you at the annual meeting on October 20th at Rosewood.

Wishing you all health, happiness and prosperity.

Warm regards,

Al Peteraf

2022 CCBOR President
