Frequently Asked Questions
Parkview Renovations & Temporary Locations
Here are some of the classrooms that students will be using during the temporary relocation phase. The setup you see here will change. Furniture, toys, and equipment will be brought over from the EEC.

The Parkview Early Education Center will be undergoing renovations as a part of the district facilities project that was approved by voters in November 2016. Once the upgrades are complete, Parkview families will see a fully-renovated building with completely refreshed classrooms, an upgraded secure entrance, parking lot and playground expansion, air conditioning throughout the first floor classrooms, updated electrical, plumbing, lighting, and new furniture and finishes.

This project will require us to completely vacate the building from May 23, 2019 to January 2020. We will be moving our toddler, daycare, pre-school, pre-K, DAP, and Before-and-After Care programs to St. Richard's Church School located at 26855 Lorain Rd in North Olmsted. This location is approximately a 6-minute drive from our current location.

All services will remain the same, including programming, meals, nap time, and on-site school nurse. Building hours will remain 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

UPDATE: Students who are entering Kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year will attend Gilles-Sweet Elementary for the full year.

We realize this will impact you and your child's routine. We explored several options for re-locating the program based on ratio and other state requirements for daycare centers, and St. Richard's was determined to be the closest and best option for our program. We are pleased to be able to continue services for all age levels at this location, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.

Please note that if you decide to leave the program during this renovation time, your spot will not be held. You will be moved to a wait list for when the building re-opens.

Please note these important dates:
May 23 and 24 - Program closed - Moving Day

May 28 - Program closed - Moving/Re-opening Day
May 28, 6 p.m. - Open House for Families at St. Richard's Church

Hi Fairview Park Families!

As spring is upon us (finally!)....this time of year always flies by.......so I wanted to take a moment to remind all of us to stay focused on what we need to do before the end of the school year and also start thinking of some plans for the summer.

Finish strong
* Is your child caught up on all their school work?  If not, have them email or talk to their teacher to see what is missing. Then make sure they spend some time doing the work.
* Make sure your child is getting 8-10 hours of sleep each night.
* Make sure your child knows ways to de-stress (the MS/HS know from our workshops)....check out the FACE Resource page to see the anxiety and stress articles.

Summer ideas
* Check out the FACE resource page of summer camps listed
* Check out the Gemini site for all their activities (they are looking for volunteer MS and HS students for Safety Town).
* Library has a bunch of fun programs....starting to fill...hurry up and check them out!
* Over 16 years old...check out on the Counseling page the Job board.....many ideas!!  Not sure how to find a job...come see me...I can guide you through the process (room 219).

As always, if you have some ideas for some topics on Parent Universities for next school year.....PLEASE email with any ideas of things you want to know about!!!  My door is always open for families of Fairview Park!
