A Note from the Principal

We are more than halfway through the first quarter of school.  Time is flying by. All of our students are working so hard on academics, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and social emotional skills.  We are growing and trying to become more independent. We are so proud of all the hard work our students are doing. Since we are already six into the year some routines have been established and we are hoping to continue to develop those routines.  So we are asking all Kindergarten parents to use car line or the bus. If you are bringing your child and don't use car line drop them off at the door and let them walk up on their own. We have staff available if your child needs assistance. Thanks for your cooperation and if you have any questions don't hesitate to call me.

Fairview Park PTA Council "Reflections" Art Program
The Ohio PTA, through National PTA, holds an annual cultural arts program, Reflections.

Children in Preschool through 12 th grade are encouraged to create and submit original works of art in six areas; literature, visual arts, photography, dance choreography, film production and music composition.  The Reflections program allows PTAs throughout the state to recognize children for their creativity as they reflect on the yearly theme. Teachers, Parents, children, and community can get involved in enhancing art education through the Reflections program. The Reflections program is one of the best examples of the PTA's ability to bring out the best in our youth.  PTA strongly supports education in the arts. It is about creating educational excitement and involvement within our schools between parents, teachers and our kids.

The Parkview PTA along with the Fairview Park Early Childhood PTA will be hosting a fun evening for our Preschool and DAP students!

Being that our theme this year is HEROES AROUND ME, we have invited heroes in our community to talk to the children and create inspiration for their art projects.  These Heroes will include: a police officer, a nurse, a teacher and more! After the students have learned what all of the heroes do, they will create a visual art project for the Reflections program.  The PTA will provide the art supplies.

When: Thursday, October 18 th
Time: 6:30 pm
Where: Parkview School Gymnasium (Early Education Center)
Who: All Preschool and DAP students
