Oklahoma! was a great success! We had over 2,300 patrons see the show over this past weekend. Thanks to all the students, parents, and staff that helped make this production happen!
We had great support for our community food drive that was spearheaded by our Arts Council students in conjunction with the annual All-School Musical. All of the food collected during the one-week donation drive was delivered to VISTE earlier this week. Thank you to everyone that donated!
Polk County Public Schools has partnered with Central Florida Health Care and the Florida Department of Health in Polk County to offer FREE flu shots for students in November. Please note - If you previously signed up electronically through Healthy Schools’ program, you will need to fill out a new consent form at the Flu clinic, as they are no longer affiliated with Polk County Schools. For those who have not heard, Dr. Ward will be retiring from Polk County Schools effective at the end of this month after 31 years in the school system. Dr. Ward will be headed to the campus of Southeastern University to work in their College of Arts & Media. The superintendent has appointed Mr. LeVine to serve as acting principal for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. We are very grateful to Dr. Ward for all he has done for Harrison in his 15 years here and wish him well on his new endeavor!
