Search for our New Bishop

The search committee seeking to find the right person to become the 6th bishop of the Diocese of Southwest Florida has chosen to continue the application period until Oct. 15. The decision was made in the interest of having a deep and diverse selection of applicants to work with in this process. Please prayerfully consider this important task and consult the website bishopsearchswfl.org if you know of anyone who would be interested in pursuing this opportunity. In addition, the committee asks for your prayers in this effort and suggests this from the Book of Common Prayer:

“Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

Faithful Departed

Your prayers are asked for the repose of the soul of 

Raymond "Mort" Olds

who returned home to God on September 28th. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of your servant Mort, and grant him an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of your saints; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Any significant changes to your household or status (single, married, widowed, divorced etc.) let us know. We do try to keep up, but sometimes the only person to tell us about these changes is you.
