The Brown Family Yesterday evening, Tyler and Sarah Brown had a significant house fire and lost most of what they have. The Brown's have two children at ACS: Milo (Kindergarten) and Marshall (Preschool). In addition to the items that were in the email from Mr. Koetje -- i f anyone wants to sign up for meals, please contact Jana Sathre at Robinson Baptist Church ( ). 

ACS is seeking candidates for two positions within our school.
1. Child Care Assistant: Seeking candidates to work in the child care as a member of a fun and caring team. The hours that we need to fill are:
Monday: 7:00-8:30am, 3:00-6:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00-8:30am
Friday: 7:00-8:30am , 3:00-6:00pm
**Start time is the week of Nov. 11
2. Hot Lunch team members: 1-3 days a week; approximately 3.5 hours per day. Paid training is available.

Student Picture Retake day will be held on November 7 from 9:00-10:30am. If your child will be getting retakes, please return your entire photo packet. Also, if your child was absent from school on the original picture day they should have their picture taken on retake day!

Calling all 4th-8th graders to come join our Game Club! For the last 5 weeks (or so), of 2019 we will be having Game Club every week.
  • When: Thursdays - November 14 - December 12: 3:30-4:30pm
  • Where: ACS Art Room
  • Why: Learn how to play board games, cooperate with others, and have fun!
  • How to join: There’s a cost to cover the purchase of games ($10), and we will have a sign-up for snacks and drinks! You will need to be signed up by Friday, November 8. Please return your slip to Mr. Cole-Rouser or Mr. Vanden Berg.

Moms in Prayer Each week a group of Moms from ACS, APS, and GV gather for one hour to grow together in praying for our kids, their teachers, and our schools. We meet right here at Allendale Christian on Thursdays  from 8:30-9:30am  in the girls locker room!  All Moms are welcome, whether you desire to grow in this area or if it is your greatest passion.

Lost and Found items remaining at the start of Thanksgiving Break will be donated to Revive Resale Store. Please take a moment to look through the Lost and Found bin (located near the gym) and claim items belonging to your family.

TRIP Info and Volunteer Schedule Instant Trip is held every Tuesday night from 7:00-7:30pm with a pick-up ONLY sessions every Wednesday Morning from 8:30-9:00am. In order for us to run this program we need at least three volunteers at each session on Tuesday night and one volunteer every Wednesday morning.   • Campbell's Labels for Education-Campbell's had discontinued their program and we are no longer able to submit anything to them for points/cash.
  • Kellogg's Family Rewards-Kellogg's Family Rewards only have a points program for items which we haven't found profitable for ACS. 
  • Trash-please discourage your children from putting actual trash in the collection's just sort of gross.

Community News
Unity Christian High School is presenting the musical  Tuck Everlasting,  based on the children’s book by Natalie Babbitt. Performances are November 21 and 22 at 7:00 p.m. and November 23 at 5:00 p.m. and will be held in the Hudsonville High School Auditorium on Allen Street. Presale tickets are available beginning October 21 for $14 and general sale tickets are available beginning November 8 for $8. Tickets are sold online at , under the “News and Events” tab. You will be able to pick your own seats and pay online. For handicap seating, please call the Unity office at 669-1820.

Unity Christian High School is seeking an Office & Finance Assistant . This is a part-time position (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 7:30am – 4:00pm). This person must display a love for the Lord, be competent in general accepted accounting practices, and have excellent management and computer skills. Sader Saturday Basketball Program  -- Unity Christian is pleased to offer a Sader Saturday Basketball program for boys in grades 4 - 6. This program will be held on November 23, December 7, 14, 21, and January 4. Each session will teach fundamental basketball skills and provide team competition. Fourth grade boys will meet from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., and 5 th /6 th  graders will meet from 10:15 – 11:45 a.m. The cost to participate is $30 for 4 th  grade and $40 for 5 th /6 th  grades, and the deadline to register is November 13. Please go to  for more information and an on-line registration link. Information can also be found at  under the “Camps & Clinics” tab.
