Halloween Event at Highlands Park

Join us for a spooktacular evening of fun at this year's Halloween Event co-hosted by the club and the GCA.

Friday, October 31 from 5-8 PM 🎃

Place: Highland Park—located in the Scottish Homes section of Glenmore

(at Darby Rd & Ferndown Ln).

This event is open to all! However, parking is limited, so we encourage you to walk, bike, or ride a golf cart if possible. It’ll be a great way to enjoy the crisp fall air!

Event Highlights:

  • Whole pizzas available for pre-order—email Kim to secure yours!
  • Pizza by the slice will also be available, along with a beverage cart offering a cash or member charge bar.
  • DJ playing from 5-8 PM to keep the party vibe going all evening.
  • The Halloween Parade starts at 6 PM—we’ll line up the kids, and lead them on a fun, festive route. Don’t worry; we’ll announce when it's time to join the parade, so no one misses out!

We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes, enjoy some treats, and have a fantastic time together!

Note From The Clubhouse To Homeowners:

Dear Homeowners,

We take pride in providing you with a beautiful golf course view to enjoy and be associated with as a Glenmore homeowner. Additionally, our goal is to provide a facility that values safety first.

For this reason, we need to remind homeowners that the golf course is for use by golfers only. Unless otherwise approved by The Club at Glenmore, the golf courses and the golf course cart paths are restricted for golf play only. Only authorized golf course personnel and persons who have checked in at the Pro Shop and been approved to play golf are allowed on the golf course and its cart paths.

We understand that many of you have used the property for walking, dog walking, bicycle riding, fishing, shortcuts and even baby strolling over the years. Please be advised that this needs to cease as there is significant danger and liability should an accident occur from a piece of golf course machinery, a golf cart, an errant golf ball, chemical application, or an unusual ground condition.

We want to continue our excellent relationship with the homeowners of Glenmore, and we respectfully request your cooperation with this important policy concerning the safety of all. Our staff will directly address anyone they see on the golf course in the future.

Branch and Limb Pick-up

Starts Monday, November 3

at 7:00AM

Please place ONLY your branches and Limbs from your yard at the curb by 7:00AM on November 3rd with the cut end toward the street.

Please Remember: Pick Up is for Branches and Limbs ONLY! No Stumps, No dirt, No trash, No dead potted plants, No containers, No trash, No leaves, and No yard material

The GCA contractor will make ONLY ONE pass per residence, so please be ready and have your branches and Limbs out by your curb by 7:00AM on Monday, November 3rd.

If you live near a common area or park, we encourage homeowners to gather any branches or limbs and place them cut end out at the curb of the common areas or parks. Your help is very much appreciated.

Important: This is a labor-intensive project that is subject to weather and street traffic. Additionally the volume of material at each home varies significantly. Please know the process may take longer than planned.

Limb and branch pick-up will begin in Bremerton, then move to Scottish Homes, and continue throughout the rest of Glenmore. The route typically starts by taking the first right onto Darby West and continues with right turns until the entire community is covered.

Please note: The fall Leaf pick up date will be Monday, December 8, also at 7:00AM.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Reminder

please do not pile leaves in or around stormwater gutters. (Heavy rain can cause the leaves to block and clog the gutters, creating potential hazards.

Now is a good time to check your storm drains to ensure they are clear of leaves and debris. Stormwater drains along the frontage of your properties are the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure they are clear. This will help water flow as intended during a heavy rain.

Super Hero

Glenmore's Unsung Heroes: John Crawford

The Glenmore Community thrives due to our dedicated volunteers. Therefore, the GCA will be highlighting an exceptional volunteer on a routine basis in our monthly News and Notes.

Volunteer Spotlight:

The John Crawford Nature Trail Walks was a Wildly Popular Event

October is Nature Trails Month in Glenmore and we kicked off the month with our John Crawford Nature Walks, inviting homeowners and their guests to enjoy the beauty of our Nature Trails with our very own Trails Expert, John Crawford.

John led a series of nature walks on the first three Saturdays in October, guiding nearly 50 trail walkers and 3 dogs over a 3.5-mile course. Along the way, participants were both entertained and enlightened by the master himself, John Crawford.

For those who missed his charm, wit and wisdom, we will try to coax him back in the spring. In the meantime, please enjoy one of the great free perks of Glenmore, our beautiful Nature Trails.

Thank you, John, for making such a difference to Glenmore's nature lovers.
