Learn About Glenmore's Strategic Plan

The GCA Governance committee surveyed the Glenmore Community last year in order to put forth a Strategic Plan for 2026-2031.

The report serves as a roadmap for making smart decisions, identifying goals, sets priorities and suggests a clear plan of action to achieve those goals for the Community. In short, it’s like a map that helps a community move from where it is now to where it wants to be, in the smartest and most organized way.

And The Survey Says...

Residents want more events and activities that appeal to a wide range of interests. The Observatory event is a great example-neighbors came together to share knowledge, enjoy time with friends, and make new connections.

Thanks to Kevin Fitzpatrick, Dave Vadas, and Tom Pierpoint, over 100 residents responded to the invitation to visit the McCormick Observatory. Inspired by this success, we're now exploring a GCA group here in Glenmore for telescopic night-sky viewing. It all began with a simple phone call from a resident curious about sharing their passion for the stars.

Do you have a passion you'd like to share? Something you've wanted to learn? A stewardship activity, book club, card game, field trip, or group you'd like to start? Want to help, even in a small way? We can make it happen-share your ideas [click here].

Glenmore is rich in human and natural resources, and in connections across the Charlottesville area. Let's tap into them to enrich our lives and strengthen our community.

Keep Your Community Clean! Scoop the Poop!

Glenmore homeowners take great pride in their lawns and landscaping, and that pride shines throughout our wonderful community. One simple way we can all help keep our neighborhood looking its best is by picking up after our dogs.

Properly cleaning up pet waste:

  • Protects health and safety. Dog waste can attract insects, rodents, and even snakes—keeping yards clean helps keep everyone safe.
  • Shows consideration and pride for your community.
  • Keeps common areas enjoyable.

And the best part? Your dog—and your neighbors—will thank you! Let’s work together to keep Glenmore beautiful, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Access Control and Safety Report

This is being brought to you for the purpose of acquainting residents with the activities that take place at the Gatehouse and how they are remedied by our Securitas staff.

2/3/26 at 12:02PM    Resident hit resident gate while tailgating. Gate was broken. Associa notified resident that posted gate procedure was not followed and was her responsible for repair cost. She has been sent a copy of the bill with request for payment.

2/22/26 at 10:14PM  Resident was delayed as the LPR cameras misread her license plate. Resident used abusive and rude language then sped off when able. Time of delay 3 minutes.

3/8/26 at 11PM Resident called with a description of someone approaching their door trying to break-in. It turned out to be a Door Dash driver who entered the community at 9PM and went to the wrong address. The Door Dash driver left the community at 9:20. Resident’s daughter phoned the gatehouse. She was advised of the details and was satisfied that the delivery person was not trying to break into her father’s house and thanked the gatehouse for their efforts and follow-up.

3/15/26 at 4:00PM A delivery driver went into the resident lane. A resident two cars back refused to back up and yelled and cursed at the officer and provided false information to security. The delivery driver was let through the gate and waited for the security officer to defuse the angry resident to be verified for entry.

3/16/26 at approximately 9:30AM Amazon driver entered the resident lane and was asked to back up and proceed through the visitors lane, but instead, drove around the gatehouse, and went through the exit lane, passed through the parking lot, then turned left and proceeded into the neighborhood on Piper Way. The driver was given a warning.
