Please see below for information for Harrison students and parents.

End of Semester Approaching

There are only three weeks left in the first semester of this school year. Parents and students are highly encouraged to use Focus to monitor grades and missing assignments. Keep in mind semester grades determine earning credits and GPA's for graduation purposes. We want all of our students to finish the first semester on a strong note!

FAST Testing - Dec. 5

Harrison and Lakeland will conduct the second round of FAST Testing on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Testing will include all 9th and 10th grade students, plus some 11th and 12th grade students. Additionally, many students will have other required state tests over the coming weeks. Students and parents will receive more details and information via email. Parents - please do not check your student out after testing is over unless it is an emergency. Thank you.

Financial Aid Night - Dec. 5

Seniors and their parents are invited to attend a Financial Aid Presentation on December 5 at 7 p.m. in the Harrison Film Theatre. Bill Langston from Florida Southern will be presenting the information. We hope that you will join us!

Additionally, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now expected to open on 12/31 for the 2024-25 year. The Polk Education Foundation (PEF) still requires FAFSA completion as an application requirement, so make plans to complete FAFSA early January. The Florida Financial Aid Application will be completed with School Counselors before winter break.

Holiday Toy Drive

Harrison is participating in the Toys for Tots High School Challenge. The drive begins this week and will end on Dec. 8. The challenge is to bring in unwrapped toys and books for those in need in our area. Students are encouraged to bring in donations to their department teacher. We will also have a collection box available at this weekend's Dance Concerts.
