HOMELESS HOUSING PROVIDER PLANS NEW DEVELOPMENT ON EAST SIDE
The three-story development would provide housing and services to people with severe mental illness and a history of homelessness.
The plan calls for a 10-story building with apartments, offices and retail, surrounding a large courtyard.
The proposals would each cost close to $200 million, or more. But they differ in amount and type of housing and what they would offer the public.
The four-story building proposed on East Gorham Street would sit beside a 160-year-old city landmark and in front of the site’s original carriage house.
