Live The Story
Ephesians 2: 8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

ACS NEWS & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Last Thursday, May 6, the ACS Society unanimously approved for the Board to seek a loan, if necessary, to complete the entire expansion project. Thank you to all those who attended the meeting, asked questions, and provided support.
Yearbooks have been ordered and should be arriving next week!
- If you haven't paid for your yearbook by then, your child will not be getting theirs on the pass out day. Payment (cash or check) is due by May 15.
ACS teachers will meet soon to assign class placements for students where multiple class options exist. The child’s teacher knows the situations where students will experience the most growth. Factors that are considered are academic, social, and emotional needs, as well as the boy/girl ratio balance. ACS parents should only request special consideration for their child’s classroom placement if there are extenuating circumstances. These reasons may include unique social and emotional needs, possibly that the school does not know about. Please focus your requests on the needs of your child, as opposed to a specific teacher. Please click here for the form. Forms must be turned in to the school office no later than May 14.
The ACS 5th-8th Grade Spring Band and Choir Concert will be held May 25 at 6:30 pm at the Ceglerak Fine Arts Center (Allendale Public Auditorium next to the high school). Due to current restrictions, we need to limit the number of guests to 2 people per student. Students will receive 2 tickets the week of May 17. Please bring these tickets with you the evening of the concert to be collected at the door. We will also be live streaming the concert (link to come closer to the date of the concert) so you can share it with those that aren't able to attend in-person.
Summer Tutoring is available from three ACS teachers! Please contact the teacher directly to set up tutoring! Click here for the schedule.

PTA Committee sign ups for 2021-2022 are happening NOW! The time has come when you are asked to prayerfully consider how you can bless your child’s school by serving on a committee. This is a great opportunity to get to know and serve next to other ACS families. In order to fill all our volunteer positions, we ask that each household/family serve on 2 committees (1 if you are a single parent) for the 2021-2022 school year. We have a fundraising goal of $90,000 and we need your help to make that possible!
There are many fun committees to sign up for! New for this year, you will see there are sub-committees listed for the Auction Committee. This brings new opportunities to pick a specific area of the auction that you would prefer to volunteer in.
Thanks so much for supporting ACS and helping to make it a great place for our kids to learn! SIGN UP EARLY- THE POPULAR ONES GO FAST!

It is so important that parents send healthy kids to school. If you have a child that is not feeling well, please keep them home. If these are typical symptoms for you child, and not worsening, and there is no reason to believe there has been a contact to a positive COVID case, students may return after following normal protocols, like 24-hours fever free. Please use the 'Who Must Stay Home' document below (page 2) as a guide for when students should stay home.
There are many other documents on our re-opening page that can answer many questions you might have, specific to ACS, or more general procedures for schools regarding COVID, staying at home, etc. Here is the LINK to that webpage.

Y5-5TH GRADE Allendale Summer Math Camp & Lit Camp are great opportunities to practice skills from the previous school year. We’re thrilled, too, that Math Camp is working in collaboration with the Outdoor Discovery Center right here on the Evergreen campus. The camp theme will provide a sense of community as students work together to strengthen their skills under the direction of qualified instructors. Class sizes are limited to provide direct, targeted instruction. For student and teacher safety, COVID protocols of masks and distancing will be required. Math Camp: June 14-July 1, Lit Camp: July 12-August 12 8:30-11:30 a.m. Sign up (by Friday, May 7) here: Allendale Summer Camp
