ACS NEWS & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Staff Appreciation week at ACS: This week is staff appreciation week at ACS. The staff is receiving different treats from the administration this week, and having a lunch together on Friday, May 10. You are encouraged to express your appreciation to different ACS staff members in some way this week. Encouragement and gratitude is a huge blessing to the staff!

Summer Tutoring is available from several ACS teachers! Please contact the teacher directly to set up tutoring for your child. Click here for the schedule.

ACS 5th Annual Kristina Moelker 5K event is Wednesday, May 8 beginning at 6:30 pm.

Click here for the link to register.

Some things to note:

  • There will be gift cards to Dicks Sporting Goods awarded to the fastest runner in each age division (boys and girls, men and women).
  • We are no longer able to order shirts but you can still register for the 5K up through the day of the event.
  • Any questions can be directed to Deb Lamer (dlamer@allendalechristian.org)

Spring Concert: I can't believe that it is May and that means our spring concert is approaching quickly! I am excited for you to hear all the hard work of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders in band and choir. The concert will take place on May 13 at 6:30pm at the Ceglarek Fine Arts Center (Allendale Public Auditorium next to the high school).

  • Students should arrive at 6:00pm and there will be signs directing them to the correct areas.
  • For the spring concert, students are asked to wear white tops and black pants. Girls are allowed to wear dresses (black and white) or long skirts if preferred. On top, a nice dress shirt is preferred (either a polo, a button down shirt, or a nice blouse). You can also add a pop of color for spring in the form of an accessory like a tie, scarf, jewelry or shoes (please no tennis shoes). I'll trust your best discretion! If you are having a hard time finding white shirts or black pants, I have a few options at school that you can use.

I can't wait to celebrate the achievements of your children and give the 8th graders a great final band and choir concert at ACS! Feel free to invite anyone and everyone! I know it is a busy time of year, but each student is an important part of the band and/or choir so it is important that they all attend! It is like the big final game of a sports season! If your child is not able to attend for some reason, I need to know by May 10 in order to plan accordingly. Thank you so much for your support this year! If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will try my best to help you out. - Miss Brummel

Classroom Lunch Coverage Opportunities - MORE DATES ADDED! Our need for lunch coverage in classrooms continues! This is a GREAT way to support our teachers and allow them time with their teaching teams for professional development opportunities and planning purposes. Please consider signing up to cover your child(ren)'s lunch period so their teacher can step out of the room for these opportunities! Click HERE for the Sign-up Genius and see what dates are available. Thank you!

possible! Please prayerfully consider where God is leading you to serve at ACS for
