Live The Story
Ephesians 2: 8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

The ACS Board of Directors is seeking interested candidates for a role on the Board starting with the 2021-2022 school year. Board members serve for a three-year term and, if willing, may serve for a second three-year term. Board applications will be due by February 8, and new Board members will be determined at the annual Society meeting on March 15. If you have interest in being a part of the Board of Directors, please reach out to Brian Koetje, at bkoetje@allendalechristian.org, for more information. Board candidates must affirm the vision and mission of ACS, and be committing to actively promoting and supporting the school.
Enrollment
- If you are enrolling a child in Young Fives or Kindergarten for the very first time online, there is a one time $300 enrollment fee, which is part of the tuition cost. Once they are enrolled online, you never have to re-enroll them again.
-
Because there is no re-enrollment for students in Y5 or above, it is very important for you to notify Brian Koetje if you anticipate enrollment changes, like potential unenrollment, for next school year. This information is important for planning. Brian's email is bkoetje@allendalechristian.org.
Preschool Enrollment The Preschool Enrollment form along with the $50 registration fee, Child Info form, FERPA form and a copy of your child's birth certificate must be turned in to complete enrollment. These forms can be found here -->Enrollment Form, Child Info Form, FERPA form, (Health Form --> due July 15.)
Prospective Young Fives or Kindergarten Families The online enrollment instructions for students that will be new to Young Fives or Kindergarten can be found HERE.
Tuition Assistance for 21-22 ACS participates in FACTS, a grant application program for our school. Completion of the FACTS application is a requirement for next year's enrollment if you are expecting a remaining balance at the end of the school year or you will be requesting tuition assistance. Families who wish to apply for tuition assistance will need to use the FACTS application format online at https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3Z45H. The application information will be easily accessible data from your 2020 tax return, along with financial accounts, and will require that copies of confirming tax documents be sent to the FACTS center. The FACTS organization will analyze the information of each applicant. They will provide our school with recommended grant amounts based on need and financial status. Parents who have children in more than one of the participating schools need only to fill out the application one time-the information will be available to other Christian schools where their children attend. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2021. The application fee will be paid by the participating schools.
Hot Lunch Volunteers are needed Please follow this link to sign up!
The Lost and Found is set up right in front of the office if you would like to stop in and look for any items that might belong to your kids! Some of these items are: snowpants, hats, jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles and more! We do not want you to miss out on retrieving your items before we bring them to ReVive! Please have your child look for any items that you are missing!
With the increasing community COVID spread, it is so important that parents send healthy kids to school. If you have a child that is not feeling well, please keep them home. If these are typical symptoms for you child, and not worsening, and there is no reason to believe there has been a contact to a positive COVID case, students may return after following normal protocols, like 24-hours fever free. Please use the 'Who Must Stay Home' document below (page 2) as a guide for when students should stay home.
-- There are many other documents on our re-opening page that can answer many questions you might have, specific to ACS, or more general procedures for schools regarding COVID, staying at home, etc. Here is the LINK to that webpage.

GRASP is a summer math and reading program used throughout the U.S. to help students retain skills
learned during the past school year. Students finishing Kindergarten to 8th grade receive a packet of
materials with a booklet containing 9 units of review exercises. They complete one unit a week or work
at their own pace as long as they are in by the deadline. They mail the lessons to GRASP where they
are scored and returned with comments. We also have an online version of GRASP for students in 4 th to 8 th grade. The results of each question are shown immediately. Children successfully completing at least 7 units with 70% accuracy are awarded a certificate. Those successfully completing all 9 units with 70% accuracy receive a medal (one per child). The fees for the summer of 2021 are $38 for one subject or $68 for both subjects for each child. Most people order the grade just completed in school, but if there are extenuating circumstances, order the level that is appropriate for your child. To register, go to grasp.grps.org and click register.
