It will be an evening celebrating God's Big Story at ACS , featuring the ACS Teachers "Teaching for Transformation". Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences  will be held October 21 & 22 from 5:00-8:15 pm. An information sheet is being sent home with your child today! You only need to return this sheet  IF  you have a time that conferences will not work for you. Please be sure to return this sheet no later than Friday, October 11. Student Picture Day will be September 30 and October 1 for Preschool - 7th grade. Order envelopes were sent home with all students. If you plan to order pictures, PLEASE be sure your child gives the order form/payment to the photographer when being photographed. If you child doesn't bring the form he/she will still have their picture taken for the yearbook.

If your child's end of the day plans change  (bus, child care, etc.), it is important that you send a note or email their teacher before noon . If there is no communication with the teacher we will follow the normal routine. We can not go by what the child says. Also if the Child Care plans are part of this change, please notify Kelsey Post, or call 616-895-5107.

Internet safety tips Last year ACS joined other schools in welcoming Protect Young Eyes (PYE) to provide a
presentation regarding internet and tech safety. The presentation was extremely valuable. PYE continues to provide very important updates and tips to parents. We would encourage you to visit their blog and sign up for their parent alerts and updates. The sign-up can be found at  . 

Middle School Parents: Keeping students safer on their school-provided devices is of paramount importance to Allendale Christian School. In that regard, we would like to make you aware of a recent step our team has taken to monitor school-issued accounts. Bark for Schools is a powerful new monitoring service we are utilizing to help us better protect students both at school and at home. You will receive an invitation to create an account for the Bark for Schools Family Alerts Dashboard.

Moms in Prayer Each week a group of Moms from ACS, APS, and GV gather for one hour to grow together in praying for our kids, their teachers, and our schools. We meet right here at Allendale Christian on Thursdays  from 8:30-9:30am  in the girls locker room, starting tomorrow!  All Moms are welcome, whether you desire to grow in this area or if it is your greatest passion.

TRIP Info and Volunteer Schedule Instant Trip is held every Tuesday night from 7:00-7:30pm with a pick-up ONLY sessions every Wednesday Morning from 8:30-9:00am. In order for us to run this program we need at least three volunteers at each session on Tuesday night and one volunteer every Wednesday morning. TRASH FOR CASH UPDATE! Did you know that with your trash last year, we raised nearly $6000 for ACS!? $6000 for something you were just going to throw away! A large portion of that money was raised through the  Direct Your Dollars (DYD)  program with Spartan Nash stores (Family Fare, D&W, etc. supermarkets).
When you scan your Yes card at checkout you receive their store savings and receive  Direct your Dollars  on the bottom portion of your receipt. Turn those  PRINTED  receipts into ACS (bin in the entrance) and we tally those for submission back to Spartan for CASH$$!! This money is used to buy school supplies, teacher needs/wants, and so much more! Two last fun facts: You receive DYD with your Starbucks purchase within Family Fare!!? Per the Allendale store director, ACS is the smallest group in the Allendale area and we have received the most submissions, quite possibly system wide!! Every bit counts!  Please contact me if you have any questions,

Box Tops for Education - CHANGES TO THEIR CURRENT PROGRAM! In the past there have been labels on the product packaging, they are phasing out the labels to clip and instead going to an app where you scan your receipt. We will continue to accept any clipped labels you have, but ask that you download their new app, make an account and scan your receipts within 14 days of your purchase. ACS will get instant deposits when you scan your receipt and you'll see how much you earned as well! Here is a short video tutorial on how it works:
