2023-2024 School Year Calendar

How we schedule parent-teacher conferences is changing! We will be using a digital scheduling system so that parents can schedule their own conference times. The link to sign up for conferences will be sent to parents with 3 or more children first, then 2 children, and then 1 child. This helps parents who are signing up for multiple conferences and allows them to schedule on the same night with little breaks if preferred. Expect to see a sign-up link by November 2nd.

Child care is looking for an energetic and Christ-centered individual to help on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. The hours would be Monday/Wednesday from 11:00-4:30 and Fridays from 1:00-4:30. Please contact Kelsey Post at kpost@allendalechristian.org with any questions or interest.

ACS is looking to add substitute teachers and aides to our list. This year has been more difficult to find substitute teachers. If you have interest, or know someone that might, please reach out to Brian Koetje, Head of School, at bkoetje@allendalechristian.org to learn more. We would really like to expand our list!

Help! The recess duty committee needs you! With the growth of our school, we now need the help of 3 volunteers each school day. We cover the morning recess from 9:55 to 10:40am and the lunch recess from 12:20 to 1:30pm. The requirements are to love kids, love ACS staff, and pass a background check. The time commitment is about 1 hour twice a month. Parents, grandparents, or those with a love for the ACS community are welcome. Can you help? Classroom Lunch Coverage Opportunities! Our need for lunch coverage in classrooms is back this school year! This is a GREAT way to support our teachers and allow them time with their teaching teams for professional development opportunities and planning purposes. Please consider signing up to cover your child(ren)'s lunch period so their teacher can step out of the room for these opportunities! Father/Son Event: The father/son event will be at the Griff's Georgetown Ice Arena on Saturday, October 28th, from 1:00-2:30pm. Come for a fun afternoon of ice skating! This event is $10 per person, which includes a skate rental (if needed). A snack will also be provided! To register for this event, please go HERE.
