Vaccine Rollout News: Phase 1B2 Begins Today for High-Risk Critical Care Workers and More
Phase 1B2 of the Washington State Department of Health's COVID 19 Vaccine distribution today starts, and includes:
  • High-risk workers in agriculture, grocery stores and food banks.
  • Public transit, fishing vessel crews.
  • Corrections facilities like jails and detention centers.
  • Courts of Law and the remaining first responders including firefighters and police officers.

Effective March 22, Washington State Enters Phase 3 of Recovery Plan
Phase 3 allows for up to 50% occupancy or 400 people maximum, whichever is lower, for all indoor spaces. This applies to all industries and indoor activities currently allowed; restaurants, gyms and fitness centers and movie theaters, among others, may all increase capacity. A full list of industry-level changes for the new phase will be released this week.

Under the updated plan, counties will be individually evaluated every three weeks. The evaluations will occur on Mondays with any possible changes taking effect Friday, with the first evaluation scheduled for April 12. Large and small counties will be evaluated by different metrics. Click here to learn more.
Startup425 Spring Foundations Series - Sign Up Now!
Startup425’s spring 2021 Foundations series begins 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, with Small Business Planning with the Lean Canvas.” This free online series features six classes aimed at helping entrepreneurs transform ideas into viable businesses.

The classes are held weekly, covering a variety of topics, each presented by local specialists and experts. Participants will exit the series with the skills and tools necessary to start or grow a business, including information on developing business plans and strategies, pitching to financial partners, marketing a product or service, building a support system of peers and mentors, and navigating the economic impacts of COVID-19. 
Foundations is provided by Startup425, the King County Library System and SCORE Greater Seattle, a nonprofit dedicated to business mentorship.

First and SECOND Round Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Forgivable Loan Opportunities Closes March 31, 2021
Great news for businesses that have not received PPP forgivable loans yet or are ready for a second one! The Paycheck Protection Program loan program (PPP) received funding for a new round of forgivable loans and is now accepting applications. The program is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
