Department of Engineering Update

Droste Road Reconstruction
The Droste Road Reconstruction project has completed several milestones in recent months. All watermain, sanitary main, and stormwater work is complete for the entire project.  With the exception of the Duchesne intersection, all new curb, gutter and sidewalks have been completed on the west side of the road. All conduit for undergrounding utilities has also been installed. This will allow the electric, phone and cable companies to move their utilities underground. Utility work is expected to take two months to complete. The power poles will be removed along the east side of Droste when all utilities are underground. Roadwork is expected to pick up again in March. More Information

Recycle Works

of Environmental Services, complements curbside recycling programs by accepting hard to handle items typically not collected at your curb. Recycle Works Central will accept electronics, computers and light bulbs for a nominal fee. For a full list of items Recycle Works accepts, click here.

Department of Public Works Update

Snow Operations
Winter and the weather it brings our region can lead to a balancing act of priorities for the Department of Public Works. The City of Saint Charles classifies streets based on the function, volume and importance to the welfare of the community. Throughout winter weather events, Public Works attempts to keep all City streets passable. The order with which roads are cleared during winter weather operations is based on the roads priority. Residents can assist the Department of Public Works by:
  •  Keeping parked cars off all roadways, especially courts and cul-de-sacs
  •  Not approaching snow plows or interfering with snow removal
  •  Pile snow to the right-side of the driveway to reduce the potential of having it
     redeposited when plows pass

NOW - JANUARY 26, 2018

This exhibition explores humor through art. It is all too easy to take oneself too seriously at times. Joke's on You encourages levity through visual expression. Open to all media, this exhibition will allow a glimpse at how artists highlight the humor and lightness in a society filled with gravitas.
