A Day in the Life of a Meals on Wheels Volunteer

As part of March for Meals, we’re highlighting the people who make Meals on Wheels possible.

March for Meals is an annual campaign that aims to highlight the importance of having access to nutritious meals within local communities across Canada.

In this short video, volunteer driver Guy Poliquin shares what a typical delivery day looks like and why a hot meal means so much for our clients.

In just two hours a week, Guy is able to make a meaningful difference for neighbours in our community.

Check out the video below!

Adjustment to Client Fees

Effective April 1, 2026

In order to continue delivering the level of excellence our clients deserve, we occasionally need to adjust our prices to account for factors such as rising operational costs and enhancements in service quality. After careful consideration and analysis, we want to let our clients know that we will be implementing a price adjustment effective April 1, 2026.

We understand that changes to fees can raise questions, and we want to ensure our clients and caregivers have clear information about what to expect. Click the button below to read the full letter, including a table outlining updated program pricing.

If you have any questions, our team is always happy to help. Please contact us at 705-324-7323 or AskUs@ccckl.ca.

Behind the Scenes at Diners Club

Just in time for Easter, we’re sharing something a little sweet from our Diners Club kitchen! 🌷🐰

Food Services Manager Teri Wentworth takes you behind the scenes as she prepares a homemade carrot cake for our Diners Club—part of a meal served to nearly 50 guests. It’s a reminder that food has a special way of bringing people together, especially during seasons of connection and celebration.

Diners Club offers a welcoming space for older adults and individuals with special needs to enjoy a hot meal, share conversation, and build friendships.
