August is Black Business Month!

Greetings Central Ohio!

August is Black Business Month and ironically, we entered this month learning of ongoing disparity in contracts from the region's largest public agency, the City of Columbus.

Last month we said, "our path to economic independence includes the bridges of opportunity built on the backs of our entrepreneurial leaders. The grind, the side hustle, the entrepreneurial spirit is in our DNA."

As Columbus goes, so does the region. This Black Business Month we implore Mayor Andrew Ginther, Council President Shannon Hardin, and the rest of the City government to do their part to help us build bridges of opportunity. We have sent this letter to City Officials and encourage you to let your voice be heard as well - shoot an email to the City and copy us on it: 311@columbus.gov .
