A letter from Kate

Most people associate Family Promise with our programs that assist working families experiencing homelessness. What they don't see is all of the work that goes on behind the scenes to help keep families from ever having to enter our Network or New Leaf programs.
You are invited to the Family Promise Annual Gala!

Please join us for the Annual Family Promise Gala on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 6:00 pm at the beautiful lakefront Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes.

2018 Annual Review

We are delighted to share the results of 2018 and the impact our donors and volunteers have made in helping us provide shelter and support to families who are experiencing homelessness.  See your impact and share it with friends and family!

New Leaf parent determined to succeed!

When Cynthia entered the Network, she had little time to concentrate on her own needs. This comes as no surprise, considering she has three children under the age of 6...  Despite this, Cynthia kept doing her best...
Volunteer Profile - Website Manager

After Roberta Terry Knauer retired as a full-time librarian in 2016, she searched the web for volunteer opportunities. She found an organization, Family Promise of Bergen County, that helps the county's homeless working families with children.

Thank you, Archer congregation!

When St. Paul's Church in Ramsey found they were not able to use their facility this summer to host Family Promise families, they began to search for an alternate location. Coordinators Mary and Mark McAuliffe from St. Paul's were determined to keep their commitment...
Lots of Support for Camp Lots-of-Fun!

For two fun-filled weeks this summer, 25 children who have experienced homelessness attended Family Promise's Camp Lots-of-Fun. The stresses of their lives faded away as they experienced fun adventures with daily field trips, arts performances, sports, crafts, and interactive play.
Family Promise has launched a new logo.

The iconic star has been retained and the new colors and font are modern, fresh, and welcoming. The new logo is featured on our website and Gala items.  Stay tuned as we continue to "roll out" the new look on all of our materials over the next six months.

We recognize, with gratitude, the following congregations that hosted Family Promise families in July and August, 2019:

Leonia Methodist Church
St Paul's RC Church (Ramsey) at Archer United Methodist (Allendale)
Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Tenafly
Our Lady of the Visitation, Paramus
St Peter the Apostle RC Church, River Edge
St. Joseph's RC Church, Demarest
Our Lady Mother of the Church, Woodcliff Lake

Thanks too to Temple Sinai in Tenafly who hosted in June and was inadvertently omitted in our last issue.
