Kirk MacDowell Helps Raise $9,100 for SIAC
Kirk MacDowell hosted a callout to support Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) fundraising efforts with tremendous success. The event was held in San Francisco at the CAA meeting, creating a high degree of awareness and energy around SIAC’s causes. SIAC, is a non-profit that tackles-on the challenge of improving alarm management practices across the U.S. and Canada. They work avidly to retain law enforcement as first responders, which is a key factor for consumers who choose a security system. SIAC’s mission is to empower security companies through education and serve as a liaison in local legislation.
Kirk MacDowell is a 38 Year Industry Veteran and president and founder of MacGuard Security Advisors, Inc., which provides consulting services to the security and life safety industry.
GMS Tip of the Month
Dealers, do you want to give your customers added value? Share this tip on how your customers can keep their home safe.
It's common for people to have house/pet sitters and having a security system can be extremely helpful in monitoring activity in and around the home. Recommend them to turn on push notifications to confirm door activity, view cameras to ensure the select person/people enter the home, adjust their thermostats to keep comfortable and modify lights/locks schedule to accommodate sitters. For more tips check out next month's newsletter.
