A MESSAGE FROM THE ACADEMIC DEAN
I hope this message finds you all doing well. In an effort to increase communication with the students and parents, the leadership team has determined that it would be highly beneficial for all parents of 7
grade students to receive weekly homework charts. You should expect to receive these charts every Tuesday morning, beginning February 4th.
The expectation is that all students continue to write their homework down, daily, in their planners. The homework charts are a general outline of what the teacher is going to be covering for the week, along with the homework that is expected to be assigned. The charts are subject to change should a teacher be absent or a class gets interrupted for any reason, which is why the practice of writing homework in the planner is expected for the students.
For our high school students, we will be creating a “Homework Board” in the lobby of the academic building. The charts will be updated weekly on the board and the students will be able to see what is happening in their classes for the week, as well as their expected homework. This will also be a useful tool for all students should they be absent and need to know what they missed.
Our hope is that this will help facilitate more communication between school and home. As the charts start being sent, please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher with questions.
