Join us on Thursday, October 19th from 6 to 8 pm for a very special awards celebration. Each year awards are presented for the Farm Family of the Year, Local Business of the year, Regional Business of the year, and Citizen of the Year. There is also an annual induction into the Hillsboro Chamber Hall of Fame.


We will recognize the award winners, recap this year's big accomplishments, and celebrate ALL businesses, organizations, and people keeping our area strong.


The dinner is Italian fare, and expect to hear Sinatra music during the evening's cocktail hour and after dinner entertainment. All businesses, organizations, and citizens representing the Hillsboro area and Hill County area are invited to attend. Click here to register

Join us at Hillsboro City Hall, this Tuesday August 22nd at 5:30 pm for the second Town Hall meeting regarding the April 2024 full solar eclipse. Hillsboro was named by Astronomy Magazine as one of the top 7 places in the world to view the historic celestial event. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to attend.


The Free Summer Concert Series continues through the end of September. The concerts begin at 8 pm each Saturday evening, and the music lineup for the remainder of the year is unbelievably good. The Damn Moore Boys, Ghosts of Hill County, The Beatles Invade Hillsboro, Touch of Grey, South Sound Revival featuring Jennifer Neal, and the finale show with the 80's Gadgets. If you haven't yet come, DO. The 8 pm start time brings shade and breezes at the Hillsboro Truckyard in downtown where the concerts are held.


With school back in session, we are looking forward to cooler temperatures and the parade of fall events that happen in our area. Here are highlights of what's coming soon:


The deadline to turn in Soccer Registrations with Hillsboro Sports Association is September 2nd. The Chamber is a drop off location for sports sign ups, or you can visit the HSA website and register and pay online.


Westfest returns Friday through Sunday, September 1st through 3rd


Saturday, September 2nd, Texas Through Time Museum is playing host to a rock and mineral show from 10 am to 4 pm and outdoor movie beginning at 8:30 pm. The mineral show is big fun


Sunday, September 3rd The Place at Lake Whitney is having a huge Labor Day event with their entire venue being turned into an indoor nerf battlefield, and also having waterslides, live music, food and drinks for all ages. 4 pm to 11 pm. The Place at Lake Whitney is a breathtaking waterfront venue and event space.


Labor Day is Monday, September 4th


Hill College is celebrating 100 years They are going all out, and we are definitely going! On Thursday, September 7th, Hill College invites the public to come and see Elevation (An Emerald City Band) at the newly renovated Vara Martin Daniel Performing Arts Center. On Friday, September 8th at 6pm at the Rusted Chandelier in downtown Hillsboro, Hill College is hosting a Centennial Celebration Dinner featuring the Royal Dukes Band. The Thursday concert is free to the public, and you can buy Friday dinner tickets at this link.


Tony's Backyard BBQ is hosting a two day golf tournament September 8th and 9th, benefiting Cooks Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.

Call (254) 350-8552 to sign up for the tournament, donate or volunteer. Both Friday and Saturday feature am and pm flights, and Ghosts of Hill County will be performing at the Friday night concert. Saturday night features poker and corn hole tournaments, and this is one of the largest golf tournaments of the year. Invite your friends, and reserve your place at the tournament. 3,026 Hill County children visited Cook's Children's Hospital in Fort Worth last year, and received care regardless of their ability to pay, thanks to the Children's Miracle Network, and the support of locals like Tony Easterling and his annual tournament.


Hill County Paw Pals annual garage sale to support their amazing mission to prevent pet overpopulation is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 23rd and 24th. Gather your donations of art, jewelry, furniture and household items, and bring them to the Hillsboro Outlets suite 178 between September 18th to 21st. The 48th Annual Pioneer Days in Lake Whitney will be held Friday through Sunday, October 5th through 7th
