Absolute Poverty Figures Announced - March 2024


Steep price rises, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, meant hundreds of thousands more people fell into absolute poverty. The figure jumped to 12 million in 2022-2023, a rise of 600,000.

Childline Receives Nearly 40 Contacts Per Day from Children Who Feel Unhappy


Over the past year, Childline has delivered over 14,000 counselling sessions about low mood or unhappiness to children and young people who have contacted the service.

Lunchtime Learning - Stigma, Discrimination and the Stigma Toolkit

Stevan Sutherland from Clued Up will share the Stigma Toolkit, a co-produced resourced developed as an aid to support thinking and challenging stigma at a local level to help improve outcomes for families and individuals.

Changes to Disclosure/PVG processes

We will cover the main changes to disclosures and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how this will impact you and the services being provided. We will also cover how you can feed into the current consultation regarding the PVG fee waiver for volunteers.

Exploring Community Development

The event is an action-packed day of hands-on activities, live music and local food vendors at St Andrews Botanic Garden. The organisers are looking for volunteers to help on the day of the event, Saturday 06 April.

Princes Trust - Get Into Health and Social Care


Princes Trust is hosting a four-week employability programme, Get Into Health And Social Care, during June. In partnership with Fife Health and Social Care Partnership,it will feature employability training and skills workshops and work placements.

Venture Trust - New round of parental employability programme


Aimed at any parent who is currently unemployed or underemployed, the course includes outdoor activities such as climbing and orienteering, as well as employability workshops.

Young People


NHS Fife and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership are currently undertaking a review of ADHD Services for Children and Young People and have developed a survey which aims to help understand the experiences of children, young people, their families and carers who may be using or have in the past used ADHD services.
