New firefighter and officers sworn in

Three new police officers and one new firefighter were sworn in at a ceremony officiated by Mayor Jill Cole last evening.

Welcome to Blue Ash Officers Eric Robinson, Cody Ashcraft, and Randy Reynolds, and Firefighter Owen Roesel (top to bottom)!

Top officer and firefighter awarded

at Council Meeting

The Top Officer and Top Firefighter for 2025 were honored at the Blue Ash City Council meeting last night.

Firefighter/Paramedic Tyler Martin (left) was named Firefighter of the Year, and Officer Mark Neihaus (center) was named Officer of the Year.

The awards are presented annually by Jim Meyers (right) with American Legion Post 630.

The first responders are nominated by their respective departments.

Each recipient receives a plaque, and their names are placed on a perpetuity award in Council Chambers. Read the recipients' bios.

Councilmember Czerwonka shares

heartfelt farewell message

After serving as a Councilmember for 21 years, Lee Czerwonka will conclude his time on the Council following the recent election, in which Jim Friend was selected to serve in the At-Large seat. Friend is scheduled to be sworn in on December 1.

Czerwonka shared a heartfelt farewell message at last night’s City Council meeting. View it here.

He also shared a written message with City staff, friends, and supporters, read it here.

Czerwonka was also presented with a Mayoral Proclamation honoring his years of service to the City of Blue Ash.

Reflect on veterans and encourage

current troops with cards

There are two ways you can honor and reflect on those serving in the military and those who have served.

Inside the Recreation Center, you can send a letter of encouragement to an active duty military member at the Yellow Ribbon Tree for the Troops.

You can also step outside to the Municipal Building front lawn to take some time to reflect on a flag display, which memorializes veterans who have taken their own lives.

The display will be up until the week of Thanksgiving Read more.
