City Council received an update on the Towne Square design at the June 9 meeting.

Steve Barber of BHPD Architects presented a series of new design concepts and a new fly-through video.

Notable updates include:

  • Current brick pavers will be preserved and repurposed into the new Veterans Memorial
  • Expanded retail patios fronting the Promenade

Soil remediation on the BLUE site
You may see some activity at the site of the BLUE on the Kenwood/Cooper corner.

Work crews will be completing a remediation project.

A fence will be placed around the location so crews can clean up contaminated soil.

The project is expected to last about a month. Learn more about the BLUE here.
Storms and excessive heat strike the area
Severe weather and excessive heat created a one-two punch for many area residents earlier this week.

Blue Ash Firefighters and Police responded to emergencies and cleared debris, the Blue Ash Recreation Center was used as a cooling center to help people beat the heat, the Tuesday night concert was canceled, and Duke Energy crews worked to restore power to thousands.

It is highly recommended that residents sign up for Alert HC to receive important notifications about severe weather and other emergencies. Sign up here: https://alerthc.org/.
HAM-Plainfield Roundabouts update
HAM-Plainfield Roundabout construction update:

A Plainfield Road traffic switch occurred this week:

  • North and Southbound Plainfield Road are now down to one lane in each direction
  • Entrances for Evans Auto and the Carthage Mills office complex have been moved from Plainfield Road to Hunt Road

Email questions about the project to PlainfieldRoundabout@primeeng.com.

Thank you for your patience as the City of Blue Ash improves safety and traffic flow for motorists and pedestrians. Please use caution and slow down in the work zones.
