Summit Park Observation Tower illuminated in red
to honor firefighters
On May 4, the Summit Park Observation Tower was illuminated in red in honor of International Firefighters’ Day.

Fire Departments across the country participated in the “Shine Your Light for Firefighters” to show support to all of the firefighters working every day and to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Snow plow name revealed!
See the plow at Touch-A-Truck on 5/18
Children and adults will be able to get an up-close look at the equipment and vehicles used by the Blue Ash Public Works Department at Touch-A-Truck, including the newly named snow plow!

The annual event will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road. The “Name a Snow Plow” truck with its official name will be on display.

You submitted names and voted for the winner - “Ctrl Salt Delete.”

Blue Ash Memorial Day Parade
and Ceremony on 5/30
Join the City of Blue Ash for the 70th annual City of Blue Ash Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 30, 2022!

The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Reed Hartman Highway and Cooper Road, proceeding east on Cooper to Kenwood, south on Kenwood to Hunt, and east on Hunt before ending at the Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park at Blue Ash Towne Square.

Dozens of military and non-profit organizations, local businesses, and community groups will participate in the parade.

A special ceremony will take place after the parade at approximately 11:30 a.m. at Blue Ash Towne Square with keynote speaker Lt. Col. Dan Meyers. Read more.
Neighborhood Clean-Up Day is on 5/7
It is time again for the annual Blue Ash Neighborhood Clean-Up day!

On Saturday, May 7, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., you can bring your spring cleaning items to the Service Center at 6131 Interstate Circle for disposal. Read more.
Blue Ash Farmers Market season
kicks off on 5/11
Treat yourself to the freshest seasonal fruits and veggies, aromatic baked breads, spices, gourmet treats, crafty creations, and so much more at the Blue Ash Farmers Market at Summit Park!

The Blue Ash Farmers Market is every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m.–7:00 p.m. from May 11 through September 28, 2022.

Beautification contest underway
Do you or your neighbors have a stellar lawn and landscape? Send your nominations in now for the 2022 Blue Ash Beautification contest!

The City will be accepting nominations through June 3. Winners will be announced in June.

The homes will be judged according to the type of plantings used, including garden variety and color, general maintenance, and overall appearance.

There will be three Beautification Awards winners and one Mayor’s Choice award winner. 

To enter your home or a neighbor’s property, email the property address to Callie Fisher or call (513) 745-8519. See last year's winners.
HAM-Plainfield Roundabout Update
HAM-Plainfield Roundabout construction update:

Hunt and Plainfield:

  • Work is progressing on the new Hunt Road alignment where the Speedway and Marathon stations were located. Concrete, gravel roadway base, curb, and gutter work is ongoing
  • Temporary traffic signals have been put up and covered
  • Late next week, traffic will be routed on the new roadway (pictured above left) and use the new traffic signal

Plainfield and Peppermill:

  • The newly installed temporary traffic signal will be activated this week
  • Pedestrian detour (see map above): south on Plainfield to cross Plainfield at Georgetown
