Beautification Awards presented at Council Meeting
All of the winners of this year’s Blue Ash Beautification Contest attended last night’s City Council Meeting to receive their awards.

9/11 Memorial Stair climb this Sunday
The Blue Ash Fire Department and Firefighters Local 3203 invite you to the 9/11 Memorial Firefighter Stair Climb on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Summit Park to benefit the Carry On USA Foundation.

NOTE: those at the event or near Summit Park will hear a rifle volley using blank ammunition between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.

Flag Disposal Ceremony held at North Fire Station
Local Boy Scouts and the American Legion held a Flag Disposal Ceremony on August 30 at the North Fire Station in Blue Ash. Read more.
Welcome Home Veterans Event at Summit Park
Many Veterans never received the warm "welcome home" they deserved. You are invited to attend a community-wide celebration and recognition of their service and sacrifice.

Dunk the Police at the BAPD Open House
Get your pitching arm ready! The Blue Ash Police Department Open House on September 14 will feature a dunking booth!

Guests will get a chance to dunk Police Chief Scott Noel and Lt. Rob Gerhardt for a donation to the Blue Ash Police Association. Read more.
Free interactive presentation on mental health
The City of Blue Ash in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwest Ohio will present ‘NAMI In Our Own Voice,’ an interactive presentation to change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people with mental health conditions.

The free event is open to the public and will take place on September 29, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, 4433 Cooper Road.

‘NAMI In Our Own Voice’ combines video and trained NAMI presenters who will talk about their mental health journey. Read more.
Summit Park improvements update
City staff members have completed pre-construction meetings and the Summit Park Observation Tower enhancement project is currently out to bid.

The west parking lot facelift is expected to be completed at the end of September.

Blue Ash delegates take off for Sister City trip
City of Blue Ash officials and staff along with local education, healthcare, and business leaders, will continue an over two-decades-long exchange of educational and cultural experiences as they depart on September 9, 2022, for a trip to Sister City, Ilmenau, Germany. Ilmenau is located in the German state of Thuringia and has a population of 40,000.

The weeklong trip will focus on exchanging ideas and best practices in the field of healthcare.

The delegates will take part in tours and discussions at Technical University Ilmenau, a hospital, local businesses, historic landmarks, and much more.

The group will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Sister City partnership.
