MEET ELIAS

OUR NEW SACRED MUSIC ASSISTANT

MEET ELIAS BEZY

Elias grew up as a cradle Catholic in Sidney, Ohio, but was born as a Hoosier in Muncie, Indiana. The third of twelve siblings, Elias attended Lehman Catholic High School and later Bishop Simon Brute Seminary. In addition to his seminary education, Elias took courses at Marian University where he has since graduated with a degree in philosophy. He also spent two and a half years in the "Glorious Archdiocese of Cincinnati."

Elias will be our Sacred Music Assistant, serving the needs of our parish and music ministries alongside our Director of Sacred Music, Andrew Anderson. Elias has played the piano for approximately twelve years and he taught himself how to play the organ around six years ago. He is thrilled to bring these experiences and skills to serve our parish here in Carmel.

One fun fact: A lover of Carmelite spirituality, Elias chose St. Pope John Paul II the Great as his patron saint.

Welcome Elias

THANK YOU!

Because of your generous efforts, over 100 students have received backpacks and supplies and approximately 35 have received uniforms this winter! The students from St. Paul Catholic Church sent these letters to you to express their heartfelt gratitude for all you've done to help them. Thank you!

CATECHISM IN A YEAR WITH FR. DOERR

Select Sundays, 10:45am | St. Joseph Chapel

Join Pastor Father Brian Doerr as we journey into one of the greatest texts produced by the 20th century: the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Developed by some of the Church's greatest minds, including St. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, the Catechism is a beautifully crafted collection of the Church's teachings.

Following the recently released "Catechism in a Year Podcast" with Fr. Mike Schmidtz, Father Doerr will lead discussions in the St. Joseph Chapel on select Sundays from 10:45am to 11:45am, beginning on January 29th. This event will not be every Sunday.

Before each meeting, participants will receive an email with the Catechism in a Year podcast episodes that correspond to the Catechism paragraphs being addressed as well as a schedule.
