NEWSLETTER - APRIL 3, 2020
President's Message
Highland Park Neighbors,

We must remain resilient, we must stay strong, and we must remember we are all in this together. We will get through this and it will be because of each and everyone of you that is practicing social distancing, practicing good hygiene measures, and staying safer at home.

Last week, Councilmember Gil Cedillo provided our NC with cloth masks donated by the Garment workers which were then distributed to the three clinics in Highland Park (NECC, AVFHC, CCHC). Team Cedillo is going throughout the communities in CD1 distributing as many cloth masks as possible. However, if you cannot make or get a cloth mask, you can also wear a bandana or a scarf instead.

The Mayor announced this week that face coverings are now recommended when we are out in public. However, please use non-medical grade masks or facial coverings in order to allow our frontline healthcare workers to use the current supply of N95 masks and face shields . READ MORE

On March 27, 2020, President Trump signed into law the CARES Act, which provided additional assistance for small business owners and non-profits, including the opportunity to get  up to a $10,000 Advance on an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) . This This  Advance  may be available even if your  EIDL  application was declined or is still pending, and  will be forgiven.

If you wish to apply for the Advance on your EIDL, please visit       www.SBA.gov/Disaster
