Grace Core Values Inquiry Process

Who are we as a church community? What are we called to do? This is an exciting time of transition and growth at Grace, and we need your help to deepen our understanding of the core values that underpin Grace’s mission and our vision for the future.

Members of the Vestry are inviting parishioners to engage in conversation about Grace’s core values and mission. A Vestry-facilitated focus group will be held  at 10:15 am on Sunday, June 9 in the North Room. We encourage everyone to attend .

We will continue to update you about future opportunities for engagement on this very important discernment process.

Father's Day

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16 -- a day to honor fathers and, actually, all who parent and nurture. At Grace we will celebrate fathers with a sweet treat. The treats will be available on Father’s Day, in the rear of the church, please take one or two after service to share with someone you care for, maybe even a sick or shut-in member of the community.
With love and appreciation from your Grace Family!
Sanctuary Cinema
Friday, June 14 at 7:00 pm
Please join us for our next  FREE Sanctuary Screening, in the air-conditioned Guild Hall.

Blowin' Up is an inspiring documentary of an amazing judge in the Queens court who pioneers a compassionate method of handling human trafficking intervention from within a broken criminal justice system. In this movie, a partnership between "Girls Educational and Mentoring Services" (GEMS) and other organizations changes the way women are prosecuted. There are no offensive images in this film, it evokes empathy for these women who have already faced so much exploitation and abuse and it provides hope to those who have faced such trials and tribulation in their lives.

Popcorn and lemonade will again be served and a facilitated discussion will follow. Please take note that this will be our last screening for the summer.
Are you/your family/parents or grandparents from another country?

Is your country represented?

Don't be left out, join us on  Sunday, June 23, 10:00 am - 11:00 am  in the  Hope Library  to plan the inaugural Grace Church Brooklyn Heights Multicultural Day. Thank You For Being Our Host!
We are most appreciative for Mary Jacobus for hosting Coffee Hour last Sunday, June 2, 2019 after our 11:00 am service. Thank you very much!
Calling all Coffee Hour Hosts.

Coffee Hour is a time for fellowship and conversation among church members to share a cup of coffee, a pastry, a smile and to engage in small talk amongst our church family. What a great way to spend time after Sunday service?

As we continue in this awesome fellowship, we are looking for volunteers to host Coffee Hour after the 11:00 am service.

It can be very simple or as elaborate (but not expensive) as you'd like, infusing fruits, carrots, celery with hummus dips or pastries. You can prepare your favorite goodies to share, some homemade cookies or brownies. If you would like to participate but just do not have the time to shop, you can also make a monetary donation and the Church will do the shopping for you.

We hope you will consider this amazing opportunity to participate in this special ministry of bringing people together and volunteer a small amount of time to host.

If you are interested in volunteering one Sunday, please sign up by adding your name to our volunteer book located in the back of the sanctuary or contact Marilyn Grant, Emily Horcher, or Sheila O’Neill . We look forward to you being our host.
