A Message From Our CEO
Dear U Prep Community:

Our scholars have been busy during this first month of school! They have engaged with industry professionals from the design sector, enrolled in early college and dual enrollment programming at Lawrence Tech, and closed out competitive sporting events as victors in the first quarter of the 2022-23 school year.

Enjoy this month’s issue of News at the U! and meet our new Athletics Director, Mr. Ray Haggard. He joins us with over 20 years of experience in the athletics arena and eight years as part of the U Prep Crew. We are confident that his new and innovative ideas, built on the foundation previously set, will enhance our athletic program for years to come.
It is always inspiring to hear from our lead educators who guide our teacher-coaching staff, and lead curriculum development for our network. In this issue the Curriculum and Instruction Senior Directors share their why, along with their passion to create content that ignites the curiosity and genius in every U Prep scholar; cultivating joy in the learning space.

If you’re interested in joining our community of learners, visit UPrepSchools.com to become one of the newest members of our crew.
We would like to dedicate the September issue of News at the U! to the life of scholar Destiny Hansard. May her precious and jovial spirit live on and permeate through the halls of our Mark Murray campus, and to her classmates and teachers who were blessed by her kind heart.

In Community and Partnership,
Danielle Jackson, CEO

In Memoriam of
Destiny Hansard
The U Prep community would like to send their sincere condolences to the family of Destiny Hansard, who passed away earlier this month. Destiny was described as someone that had a very giving and positive spirit along with always having a huge smile on her face. She was a scholar that wanted everyone else to be happy and was beloved by her peers and teachers for her kindness and sincerity. Destiny enjoyed crafting and doing anything artistic with her friends and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hansard family.
