March is CGFM Month!

AGA’s annual CGFM Month in March highlights our valuable credential and celebrates the professionals who hold it. Join in the celebration by wearing red this month, using the CGFM virtual background, and encouraging others to earn the CGFM. All of us at AGA appreciate your commitment and dedication to the government financial management community. We are proud to count you among our CGFMs!
CGFM Turns 30!

Join us in Denver!

AGA’s Professional Development Training (PDT) is our association’s premier training event. PDT ’24, slated for July 14–17 in Denver, will bring together a broad audience of federal, state and local government financial professionals for outstanding networking opportunities and a chance to earn up to 24 CPEs during the event. CPE hours earned at PDT can be used to fulfill CGFM CPE requirements.

When you come to PDT, join us in celebrating 30 years of CGFM!
CPE Requirement FAQ:

Q: I did not earn enough CPEs in my last cycle. What do I do?
A: All active CGFMs are required to earn 80 CPEs in their designated CGFM CPE cycle, including 4 hours in ethics. If you don’t think you have earned the required hours in your last cycle, please follow these steps:
  1. Double-check your CPE cycle in “My CGFM” and make sure it ended on December 31.
  2. If your cycle just ended, check whether any hours were completed in the grace period of Jan 1 – Mar 31. See Section 6 of CPE requirements.
  3. If you experienced extenuating circumstances, you may request a waiver or extension by April 30. See Section 4 of CPE requirements.
  4. If you are still short or still have questions, contact the CGFM office (cgfm@agacgfm.org).
