A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR...

My involvement with CCIM has been a wonderful experience over the past four years, mainly due to my participation in the variety of networking events that are offered.

Opportunities like client leads, committee involvement, friendships and business sales are just some of the the benefits that come from putting yourself out there with business networking.   As the old saying goes, "It's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know", having a great source of relevant connections in our network is super important for a successful business.   Networking opens the door to to meet and speak with influential people who otherwise would be difficult to get in touch with.

My favorite networking memory with CCIM was at the October Retail Review, where I met a real estate strategist from Sears. I built my confidence up to approach him (because as I have learned, I never regret making the effort to talk to someone.)  Although he was not the direct contact of who I needed to speak with, he was more than happy to put me in touch with the right person. A year later, I successfully paved two large KMART/SEARS parking lots, and am now a trusted and reliable vendor within the company.

I highly encourage everyone to start the New Year strong with networking goals. Make yourself visible, expand your knowledge by speaking to industry leaders and gain satisfaction from helping others solve problems. What do you have to lose?
