Register to vote in the May 19 General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election

The deadline to register to vote and be eligible to cast a ballot in the May 19 General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election is Monday, April 20. To register to vote in Georgia, you must be a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote, at least 17.5 years old to register, and 18 years old by Election Day.


To register to vote and to confirm your voter registration status, visit the Secretary of State's My Voter Page at MVP.SOS.GA.gov. For more information, call Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections at 678.226.7210 or visit GwinnettElections.com.

Celebrate Earth Day by recycling your items

Have some hard-to-recycle items? Join us, rain or shine, at Gwinnett's annual Earth Day recycling event on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00am to noon at Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth. Drop off items that are typically more difficult to recycle, such as electronics, latex and oil-based paints, tires without rims, paper, and clothing. Items should be placed in disposable containers in the trunk or back seat of your vehicle to be removed by volunteers.

Share your input on the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Small Area Plan

We need your input! Join us on Tuesday, April 21 at the Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center in Norcross for the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Small Area Plan Open House. Drop by from 6:00pm to 7:30pm to review draft recommendations, share feedback, and speak with project team members. Your vision can help create a more walkable, safe, and connected Jimmy Carter Boulevard

Pay your Ride Gwinnett fare with A Better Breeze

Ride Gwinnett is updating its payment systems to make rides easier, more flexible, and more secure! The new payment system will allow riders to pay their fare using bank cards and mobile wallets on all Ride Gwinnett buses. You can also pay using cash and physical or virtual Breeze cards. As part of this transition, existing Breeze card users must upgrade to new Breeze cards and the new Breeze app by Friday, May 1.

Multicultural Festival returns with new location

Join us on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 4:00pm for the annual Multicultural Festival and County Government Open House! For the first time, the festival will be held at Sugarloaf Mills. Residents of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled day with cultural performances from around the globe, bounce houses, carnival rides, touch-a-truck with public safety vehicles, and more.

Share your feedback on the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan

The Sugarloaf Small Area Plan will guide future development policies and infrastructure investments in the area, fostering a vibrant community that attracts residents and visitors, supports business, and provides unique experiences. Now is your chance to help shape this community! Help identify what works and doesn’t work in the study area by sharing your input in the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan Survey.


The Sugarloaf area has grown into one of Gwinnett’s premier destinations for entertainment, business, art, and education. It is a major economic engine for Gwinnett County, generating an estimated $15.6 billion in annual economic impact.

County updates payment page for permits on ZIP Portal

Gwinnett County has updated its ZIP Portal payment page, providing a cleaner layout and improved user experience when making online payments. As part of this update, customers will now be securely redirected to a new payment processing page to complete permit payments. This redirect is part of the normal payment process and continues to use the County’s secure payment system.


All required payment information remains the same, and customers can continue making payments through the ZIP Portal as usual.
