WEEKLY E-blast news & updates

February 8, 2024

"How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, indeed it faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God" (Psalm 84:1-3).

We seek and welcome all to connect, celebrate, and serve in God’s love.

You're invited to the Welcome Center after worship for coffee and donuts.

WORSHIP THIS WEEK

Join us for worship this Sunday, Feb. 11 at 8:30 or 11am in-person, on Facebook or online at our website.

This Sunday, we celebrate Baptismal Anniversaries. If you were baptized in the month of February, please light your baptismal candle, or any candle, during worship as we recognize and celebrate being a beloved child of God.

Join us in the Fellowship Hall for Lord of Life’s 10th Annual Souper Bowl Tailgate Party this Sunday, Feb. 11, 10:15 am - 12:30 pm. There will be fun, food and fellowship. We will have a “pre-game” prayer and educational opportunity for Sunday School at 9:45.

You can participate in 2 ways:

1.           Host a table! Pick your favorite football team and provide bite-sized tailgate food for around 100 people. People will vote on their favorites, and you could win the coveted Souper-Bowl of Caring Trophy!

2.           Attend, sample food, and donate! You can buy tickets on Realm or in-person the morning of to vote for your favorite food. All proceeds go towards the Montgomery County Food Bank.

The Montgomery County Food Bank assists those in our community affected by hunger and can turn every $1 donated into 4 meals in our community. With your help, we plan to raise $3000, or 12,000 meals, for the community at our Tailgate Souper Bowl Party.

Sign up here.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14. Worship at noon or 7pm. 2024 sermon series: FASTING AND FEASTING.
