God's Work, Our Hands
Angel Reach Dinner - Help support young adults aging out of foster care learn cooking skills by providing ingredients for an easy chicken pot pie meal. Items are due to the church by the morning of Thursday, Jan.20th. Sign up here.
Family Promise has no host churches for the month of January for their program aimed at families to avoid homelessness. Meals are needed for a family of 4 each day. All the details for drop off, dietary restrictions, etc. can be found here. Can you help?
Nourishment for the Needy - Volunteers needed to pick up food from area grocery stores and pack them up for families to collect. Located located near Oak Ridge High School, they operate 9am-2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. Touching Lives through Connecting (TLC) - A new project by the Health Ministry. Join us for information and training for visiting home-bound members on Thursday, Jan. 20 @ 6:30 in the conference room. Do you have the spiritual gifts of Faith, Mercy, Hospitality or Service? Souperbowl of Caring - Sunday, Feb. 13  "Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat."

Save the date! LOL will host families in danger of homelessness the week of February 27-March 6 at Family Promise’s new home in south Conroe. Fifty volunteers needed to prepare meals, chaperone overnight and provide transportation when needed. Sign ups coming soon. Questions? Email Jenny
Bible Studies/Discussions
BIBLE, CHRISTIANITY & YOU: 9:45am on Sundays. Book study: Martin Luther’s “A Commentary on St. Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians” using Joshua Nickel’s book, Walk between Heaven and Earth. “Martin Luther stressed the importance of distinguishing between law and gospel. It’s an emphasis he is well-known for. It’s also a subject on which he has something important to say to the entire church of Jesus Christ, even to this day.” Join us in the library upstairs. Beyond Sunday Podcast - Weekly conversations with Pastor David Bauser, Faith Formation director Patrick Nazaroff and author Elise McCarter. THIS WEEK: Faith Conversations with special guest, Carrie Kessler.

Sunday School for kids age 3 through 4th grade meets in KOK hallway, Rm 1 at 9:45.
Club 56 (for 5th & 6th graders) meets at 9:45am upstairs in Rm 26.
