From all of us at SCFD, I want to wish you a very happy new year! I am looking forward to seeing the amazing collaborations, unique programming, and other impacts on district residents our funded partners have in store for this year. It’s exciting to know that there is a whole calendar year of Culture For All ahead! Here at SCFD, we have a lot of important work in store as we kick off our stakeholder engagement process and continue our ongoing organizational development work. I want to share a couple of updates on both those fronts:

SCFD Staff Onboarded GBSM Team

In December, SCFD staff met with the GBSM project team to provide an SCFD overview and begin discussions about the upcoming stakeholder engagement process. Staff went over SCFD history, grant processes, communications, and more to give the team at GBSM a comprehensive look at SCFD as it currently stands. We then began visioning conversations about what we hope to learn from the upcoming stakeholder engagement process.

Look Ahead: Opportunities to Engage

The GBSM project team is starting the stakeholder engagement process with Phase 1, Research & Landscape Analysis this month. I want to give you a heads up that there will be a couple of opportunities to engage in the process as it continues later this year with Phase 2, a district-wide listening tour. Please stay tuned for additional information in our newsletters and on our Road to Reauthorization webpage
