Seminary Support

One of our own, Johanna Tatlow, will be heading to Virginia Theological Seminary this summer. As she begins this exciting new chapter, we invite you to join us in supporting her as both a congregation and her sponsoring church.

We have created a special giving fund in Realm (accessible via the link below), and a designated offering plate will be passed during services on May 3, May 10, and May 17. All contributions—whether given in person or online—will go directly to Johanna to support her journey.

Best wishes, Johanna! We are grateful for you and look forward to staying connected in the years ahead.

Ushers needed

Your weekly update on the status of our pledges:

The General Fund - This pledge is important because it forms the basis for our annual budget, and represents the funds available for our services, ministries, buildings and grounds, administration, and outreach. At this time, our pledge balance is as follows:

69 pledges totaling $220555.00

Capital Campaign Fund - This is a 5-year campaign dedicated to paying on the principal of our Rafters mortgage. This fund is important as the capital campaign account is one of the key components of our successful renegotiation of the mortgage in the coming year - it demonstrates our commitment and ability to pay back the borrowed amount. At this time, our pledge balance is as follows:

35 pledged totaling $203,556.00 of which we have currently received $91539.26

The Outreach Committee will be writing thank you notes

to the staff and teachers at Ranson Middle School. We

would like to include $10 gift cards with each notes, as we have

done in the past. If you would like to contribute, please give your

St Mark's Prayer List

If you would like a name on the prayer list, contact Marcia or Jan Daubener. If you would also like a prayer sent out to Pastoral Care/prayer chain, let Jan know. Starting in September, names will remain on the list for 4 weeks, unless specified otherwise. You may extend (or decrease!) the time by notifying Marcia. We will continue to have folks on the list long term at their request, and will continue to read names aloud on the 3rd Sunday of each month. If you have questions please contact Marcia in the office or Jan (jandaubener@gmail.com).

St. Marks Market Place

This offer includes a rattan sofa, two rattan chairs, and a rattan ottoman, plus the original cushions and pillows all purchased from Pottery Barn. The pieces are in great shape structurally, but the cushions and pillows need some TLC or replacement. It is meant for indoor use currently as the cushions and pillows are not covered in waterproof material.

I am not able to transport them to the church so if you would like to see them or purchase them, they are in my garage for viewing or to be picked up. I live about 15 minutes from the church in Highland Creek.

The two chairs and the ottoman with cushions and pillows are $75.

The sofa with cushion but without the original slip cover and pillows is $75.

If you would like to purchase all four pieces plus cushions and pillows the asking price is $125.

My phone does not accept unknown callers so the best way to reach me in via text: 727-543-2600.
