Transitions Meeting

February 25th at 6:00 PM

Child Care and Dinner will be provided

The Senior Warden met with the Canon for Transitions, and we are now ready for the next step in our Rector search. To launch this effort, we will be holding a Transition Workshop on Wednesday, February 25th at 6:00 pm in the Rafters, where we will discuss the process and more importantly get the congregation’s input into the requirements for our next Rector. Please make every attempt to attend this important meeting, and if you are unable to attend, please share your thoughts with any member of the Vestry, so we can ensure that all voices of the congregation are heard and contribute to the process.

Watering Volunteers needed!

Do you have an extra 40 min before or after church on any Sunday? Our baby azaleas must be watered twice a week until October to thrive. We are looking for folks to help on Sundays; a team of two people can accomplish this task in 35 - 40 min.

Contact Robin Canchola if you can help at 361-646-9288 or rcandoo@hotmail.com

Your weekly update on the status of our pledges:

The General Fund - This pledge is important because it forms the basis for our annual budget, and represents the funds available for our services, ministries, buildings and grounds, administration, and outreach. At this time, our pledge balance is as follows:

65 pledges totaling $214705.00

Capital Campaign Fund - This is a 5-year campaign dedicated to paying on the principal of our Rafters mortgage. This fund is important as the capital campaign account is one of the key components of our successful renegotiation of the mortgage in the coming year - it demonstrates our commitment and ability to pay back the borrowed amount. At this time, our pledge balance is as follows:

33 pledged totaling $197,556.00 of which we have currently received $54141.33

Window Sale

The windows in the Old Rectory are going to be replaced next month. If you are interested in purchasing a piece of the old Rectory, we are selling the original windows. Some of these windows are 100-years-old. You can use them for decorations, art canvas(es), etc. Please sign up in the sign up genius to secure your window. We will sell them for $100/window and the proceeds will go to the St. Mark's general fund. Any questions please reach out to Dawn Middleton.
