Hopefully EVERYONE is attending the yummy and fun Taste of Barbados church event on 5/20! Buy your $35 event ticket for your preferred seating (5pm or 7:30pm) and then please consider Volunteering for an hour or two during the other seating.
Volunteer Sign Up sheets for Parking, Ticket Collection, Bar Sales, Barbados Bucks sales, etc. will be posted on Sunday, or contact Lacy Hamilton. 
All Volunteers will get $5 extra Barbados bucks - can use for another free drink or to buy 5 youth raffle tickets!! Come join the fun AND help support our church's largest fundraiser!

They could also use gardening tools, especially hand weeders & rakes, trowels & a dedicated sturdy hose for the project.

Calling All St. Mark’s Home Cooks

 

The Flyin’ Lion Kitchen needs multiple cooks and cook’s helpers for upcoming catering events held in the Rafters. The work is part time and normally performed on Friday and Saturdays, with occasional weekday opportunities. The paid position may work any hours between 9am to 10pm, and all skill levels are welcome to inquire.

There is currently a great need for help in the Flyin’ Lion Kitchen, and the positions need to be filled in order to graciously carry on our mission. If you or someone you know is looking for part time work, please reach out as soon as possible.

As such, very strict standards in cleanliness, layout, & equipment maintenance must be continuously upheld to pass muster.

Flyin Lion Catering Service at St Mark's has opening for a


Culinary Manager


Information about the position is below:


Position is 16-24 hrs/week


Candidates must have working experience with event planning and production line service in culinary field. Associates Degree or higher in Culinary Arts preferred. ServeSafe certification preferred. Must have proficiency in basic cooking and baking techniques.


The Culinary Manager

*works with clients from planning to implementation of event.

*maintains par levels of stock, shops for groceries and supplies

*assists with instruction of students

*develop new and innovative dishes for menus

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution from a Traditional or Roth IRA made directly by the IRA trustee to a qualified charitable organization when the IRA owner is age 70½ or older. A QCD may satisfy the client’s required minimum distribution (RMD) and up to $100,000 of QCDs may be excluded annually from an individual’s taxable income.
