Home Expo Reservations Open

We don't know what the future holds for us with COVID-19 still out there, but we have to make a plan. The hope is that things will return to normal soon and that we will be able to proceed as normal, or close to it, with the 2021 Home Expo. Therefore, we are sending out the information packet and will start accepting reservations.

Please keep in mind that things can, and probably will, change. We will keep you posted.

Early bird rates are in effect until September 11th. This is a much shorter time than normal, so please let us know soon if you think you will participate in the 2021 Home Expo. If you are interested in participating, but not yet ready to commit to making a reservation, we understand. Please let me know and I will keep a list of interested vendors so I can follow up at a later date.

Reliable information is critical to make sound business decisions.

The National Association of Home Builders periodically conducts the Remodelers' Cost of Doing Business Study - a nationwide survey of residential remodeling companies designed to produce profitability benchmarks for that segment of the construction industry. The Study provides detailed information on important indicators, including:
  • Gross and net profit
  • Assets and liabilities 
  • Owners' equity
  • Financial ratios
The newly released Remodelers' Cost of Doing Business Study, 2020 Edition shows that the average gross profit margin for remodelers rose in 2018 to 30.1% - which was the highest it has been in nearly 30 years. Meanwhile, the average net profit margin in 2018 (5.2%) was essentially unchanged from the years prior, largely due to higher operating expenses. NAHB predicts that over the next few years, remodeling expenditures will continue to grow but at a more gradual pace.

This invaluable tool gives remodelers a great way to benchmark their business financials in comparison to other similar businesses across the country. In addition, the analysis compares remodelers' performances based on business model, such as general remodeler versus design-build remodeler.
