On Friday, Governor Pritzker filed orders that will make business owners who do not follow his orders into criminals. A violation of his orders would result in a Class A misdemeanor with up to one year in jail plus a fine of up to $2,500. Just for trying to work and support their families.
The order would be in effect for 150 days - UNLESS they are stopped by JCAR (Joint Committee of Administrative Rules). JCAR is comprised of 12 legislators - six Republicans and six Democrats. There must be EIGHT votes against this in order to stop it, so start making calls!!!
