From NAR: Bias Override - Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing
Throughout the course of your career, you will likely work with buyers and sellers of many different backgrounds. As a REALTOR® sworn to uphold a strict Code of Ethics, you must treat all clients equally, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The REALTOR® commitment to diversity and equality is perhaps the strongest in real estate, even going a step farther than the federal Fair Housing Act, which does not include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes against housing discrimination.

For more information on the REALTOR® commitment to diversity and equality, read and study the Realtor® Code of Ethics Article 10 (above) and watch NAR President Vince Malta's "Rebuilding for Racial Equality" video below.

2020 President Vince Malta addresses the REALTOR® commitment to equality, inclusion, restoring communities and impacting change in this segment of the Pivot in Place leadership video series.

Thank you to the Palmetto Mortgage Group team for your support of
The coronavirus global pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we live and operate, but rest assured the commitment to serve members and advocate for you on Capitol Hill, in statehouses and city halls nationwide has not wavered.

The NAR Advocacy team worked to make sure matters that are important to real estate were included in the CARES Act and are continuing to work with members of Congress to ensure our voices are heard.

The SCR Advocacy Team worked to establish real estate an essential service, completed a voter registration campaign and voter absentee campaign. In addition, it was a successful primary for most of our REALTOR® Champions.

Locally, Pee Dee  REALTORS®  RPAC Committee researched and screened candidates from the Pee Dee running for SC House and Senate seats in 2020. PDRA has  contributed funds to 14 "REALTOR® Champion" campaigns for the 2020 elections.

2019 was a record year for Pee Dee REALTORS®, contributing nearly $19,000 to RPAC. It's time to gear up to meet or surpass our contributions in 2020!

For the safety of our members, your 2020 Pee Dee RPAC Committee has had to postpone RPAC fundraising events. We hope to host these in late summer and fall, and will be looking for other fun and interactive ways to promote RPAC giving. Until then, you can invest any time, just by visiting our website  here , or click the red button below.

Now more than ever, investing in RPAC matters!
