THE AG FUND NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT
Although we are $26,870 short of our AG Fund goal, we are confident that we will reach our target of $85,000, and hope to have 50% of our families participate. So far we have raised $58,130 and have a participation rate of 10%. You and your student will receive more information on how to participate in next week’s homeroom competition to help us reach our goals!

All money raised goes to fund essential aspects of AG that are NOT paid for by CMS. Examples of how your dollars are used include educational programs like IXL, and technology enhancements such as 3D printers and smartboards. The PTO is able to support our staff with professional development opportunities and monthly appreciation events. Dollars raised through the AG Fund also benefit our students through honor roll recognition, grade level events, and maintenance of outdoor common "FIT” space. This year the PTO sponsored our Bulldog Bonanza Homecoming event, while continuing to maintain monthly campus beautification projects.

Thank you to those families who have donated to the AG Fund. Your dollars make a difference, and no donation is too small! If you have not donated, you can make a tax deductible donation online HERE, or by mailing a check made out to AG PTO (include AG Fund in the memo line) to Kimberly Lineberger, PO Box 11777 Charlotte, NC 28220.

Thank you so much for supporting the students and staff of AGMS! GO BULLDOGS!!!
ROAD CLOSURE AT ROCKBROOK DRIVE
On Monday, February 14, Char-Meck Storm Water Services will begin construction on a water project that will impact traffic patterns around AGMS, Selwyn Elementary and MPHS. Rockbrook Drive will be closed for two to three weeks during completion of the project. Please plan ahead to allow time for an alternative route.
CMS CALENDAR CHANGES ANNOUNCED
CMS announced calendar changes on Monday, 2/7. Monday, 2/21 will now be a teacher workday as it was originally scheduled. Students will not report to school on Monday, 2/21. In addition, the previously scheduled early release day of Wednesday, May 4th will now be a full instructional day.

This calendar update allows the district to have flexibility should more severe weather occur before the end of the school year.
MESSAGE FROM
DR. FURR
AG Families,

Thursday, February 3rd was my last day on campus and Friday, February 4th was my last day as interim principal at AG Middle School. I appreciate the warm welcome and support, and hope that I have been successful in helping to continue the important work here to prepare students well for their future. Mr. Conner eagerly assumed his new role as principal on Monday, February 7th. I know you will welcome and support him in his transition. I am confident he will add great value to the school and the students through his work. Again, thank you!

Dr. Maureen Furr
