POTENTIAL CHANGES TO MPHS FEEDER PATTERNS
A new high school will open in south Charlotte at the start of the 2024-25 school year. The creation of this new high school has the potential to impact feeder patterns in our community's elementary and middle schools.
Community Engagement Session #3 for the South Charlotte Relief High School will be held May 19th, at 5:30pm.
Upcoming events:
Engagement Sessions: May 19th
Board Updates and Hearings: April 26th; June 14th
Board Vote: June 28th
The CMS Planning Services team seeks your input and engagement as they determine the new school’s boundary and associated changes to the boundaries of nearby high schools. A new crowd source tool launched Friday, March 25th on the CMS Planning Services webpage. The tool allows community members to draw their preferred boundary for the new relief school. Please follow this LINK to view instructions and engage with the tool.

PROCTORS NEEDED FOR EOG & EOC EXAMS

We are still in need of proctors for our spring testing window (May 24th through June 8th). If you are available from 8:30am to 1:30pm on any day within the window, please sign up using this LINK. Please note, there will be no testing on June 6th.
The specific days that each grade level will take their EOGs and/or EOCs won’t be known until early May. It is important that you plan for your student to attend school throughout the testing window.

MORNING & AFTERNOON CARPOOL CONCERNS
AG administration prioritizes student safety, and we have concerns about walker and carpool procedures. Students walking to AG should cross streets ONLY at designated cross walks. There is a crossing guard at the intersection of Runnymede and Barclay Downs (AM & PM) and at Runnymede and Colony Rd (AM & PM). Students should never cross Runnymede at Lacie Lane OR at Colony and Rockbrook Drive.
Car riders can be dropped off at the main entrance via Runnymede Lane or at Selwyn Elementary via Colony Road. Please pull completely forward when dropping off or picking up your child. Students must be picked up only at designated areas which are supervised by our staff. Students may not be picked up on Runnymede Lane, Colony Road, Rockbrook Drive or in the small lot next to the baseball field.
Please be considerate and respectful of other drivers and our AG staff at all times. We appreciate your cooperation to make carpool and walking to school a safe experience for all.
The administrative team would like to remind all families of the dress code expectations. As warmer temperatures are upon us, administration and staff will be monitoring student dress, and we are hopeful that parents will be mindful of how students come dressed for the best distraction-free learning environment possible.
Please review this LETTER and our expectations. Please direct any questions to Principal Conner or your grade level administrator.
