Announcements
MORNING & AFTERNOON CARPOOL CONCERNS
AG administration prioritizes student safety, and we have concerns about walker and carpool procedures. Students walking to AG should cross streets ONLY at designated cross walks. There is a crossing guard at the intersection of Runnymede and Barclay Downs (AM & PM) and at Runnymede and Colony Rd (AM & PM). Students should never cross Runnymede at Lacie Lane OR at Colony and Rockbrook Drive.

Car riders can be dropped off at the main entrance via Runnymede Lane or at Selwyn Elementary via Colony Road. Please pull completely forward when dropping off or picking up your child. Students must be picked up only at designated areas which are supervised by our staff. Students may not be picked up on Runnymede Lane, Colony Road, Rockbrook Drive or in the small lot next to the baseball field.

Please be considerate and respectful of other drivers and our AG staff at all times. We appreciate your cooperation to make carpool and walking to school a safe experience for all.
AG FUND CHALLENGE
Last week we announced that an anonymous donor has pledged $5,000 if 20 more families donate.

Since then, we have had 17 families give $2,454.27! Help us meet the challenge and be one of three 3 families who get us closer to the additional $5,000! Donate HERE today.
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
The administrative team would like to remind all families of the dress code expectations. As warmer temperatures are upon us, administration and staff will be monitoring student dress, and we are hopeful that parents will be mindful of how students come dressed for the best distraction-free learning environment possible.

Please review this LETTER and our expectations. Please direct any questions to Principal Conner or your grade level administrator.
POTENTIAL CHANGES TO MPHS FEEDER PATTERNS
A new high school will open in south Charlotte at the start of the 2024-25 school year. The creation of this new high school has the potential to impact feeder patterns in our community's elementary and middle schools.

Families are encouraged to attend the community engagement sessions and provide feedback about the proposed changes.

Community Engagement Session #2 for the South Charlotte Relief High School will be held virtually April 7th, at 6:15 PM(Note updated time.)

Meeting ID: 913 5735 2513
Passcode: 571025

Upcoming events:
Engagement Sessions: April 7th; May 19th
Board Updates and Hearings: April 26th; June 14th
Board Vote: June 28th
The CMS Planning Services team seeks your input and engagement as they determine the new school’s boundary and associated changes to the boundaries of nearby high schools. A new crowd source tool launched Friday, March 25th on the CMS Planning Services webpage. The tool allows community members to draw their preferred boundary for the new relief school. Please follow this LINK to view instructions and engage with the tool.

LET ME RUN REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Let Me Run is returning to AG this spring!

Give today’s boys the tools to be tomorrow’s men with the skill-building, confidence-inspiring Let Me Run program. The 7-week program for boys in grades 6th-8th provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to reach and teach boys to become the best versions of themselves. Through games, activities, and curriculum-based learning, boys build the coping skills to navigate the challenges of growing up today, open themselves to making - and being - the best of friends, and earn the confidence that comes with completing their first or fastest 5k.

The Spring 2022 season begins April 19th with practices right after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:45pm. Scholarships are available. Learn more about the program or register now using this LINKPlease contact Erin Romeiser ([email protected]) with questions or for more details.
