 Last newsletter, we reported that Elder Monroe Brown, owner of a Black Heritage Bookstore in Brooklyn, NY has suffered a stroke. Mother Asantewaa reports that he is at Bellevue Hospital, 10th Floor, Room 10045 and his family has asked the community to visit him and also stop by the store and support the fundraiser to help save True South Bookstore.

Supporters of Brooklyn black heritage bookstore rally to keep shop open which has been open since 2007. But its owner, Monroe Brown Jr., suffered a stroke and is in critical condition and unable to make payments.

Thanks for all the support showed the Chapter as well as all the other awesome vendors and exhibitors. Special thanks to Chapter practitioners namely, Brother Ricky, Brother Sekou, MerySerket, Sista Alecia, Dr. Hankh Rising & Sista Makeda from Philly. Thanks to our faithful volunteers: Nicky & Nia, Mutaquiy and Mama Jean. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves despite the sprinkling of rain. Many thanks for all those who came in support of the Harlem Week's Percy Sutton's 5k Walk. Practitioners Sista Deborah Sekmet Leftridge and Brother Ricky held down that event. This was the Chapter's first time participating in this particular Harlem Week Event. We hope everyone enjoyed the reflexology treatments and hope you will give the practitioners the opportunity to service you again. _______________________________________________
Dr. El Ha Gahn's 3-Week Beginner Reflexology Training has been rescheduled to launch in September 2013. It will a launch in place of the Advanced Reflexology Course which will launch in 2014.
Dr. Ramin Heru's 3-Month Iridology Certification Training has been cancelled for 2013. If demand is there, we will launch it in 2014. Each Thursday, Sista Deborah Sekhmet Leftridge will be instructing Kemetic Yoga Classes in Brooklyn, NY. Cost per class is $15. Click link below for flyer. Cash payment is required at the door.
