A huge thank you to the ladies that knitted prayer shawls and donated yarn.  Your contributions are a great help in this ministry.  A nice thank you note from a prayer shawl recipient is on the bulletin board across from the office.

Series:   "Belonging"
Sermon :   "Disagreement and Division "
Scripture :
Mark 9:33-37

This Sunday
As we continue to explore what it means to be a community of belonging, we have to realize that we won't always agree on everything.  In fact, our church's history is a history of disagreements, dissolutions, and divisions. There are even disagreements about how to read that history.  We'll meet some characters from our Wesleyan history and some others from our Biblical history and explore the ways we disagree, the topics about which we disagree, and the power of disagreeing without being disagreeable. Read Mark 9:33-37 to prepare.

Fundraiser Thank You
A big thank you to Peter Narmita and his sous chefs (Eileen Jerrett-assistant chef, Jonny Narmita-assistant, and Londa Narmita-Warwick Hotel restaurant uniforms) for preparing the Italian feast at  Saturday's Kitchen Fundraiser. And thank you to the 12 guests who reserved seats and enjoyed the tasty meal. Also, a big thank you to Malia Hampson for setting up the Pampered Chef stations where guests could chop, slice and juice, as well as bid on silent auction items and purchase stocking stuffers.   If you missed the event, you can still participate by ordering Pampered Chef products for yourself or as gifts for family and friends.  Whether you ' re hosting a big holiday meal or a small gathering with friends, entertaining is easier with the right tools. Please support this fundraiser to help pay off our kitchen remodel loan. Shop at this link until November 11th which is the last day for ordering online:
