Spring Lighting Trends
With the long winter ending, it's time to lighten things up. Consider replacing your outdated fixtures with bronze or brushed brass finishes. Enliven your space by combining materials such as wood and metal or glass and metal. Create a new look with alternative lamp shade
materials, antique style light bulbs for
exposed fixtures, or hip industrial style lighting.

Recent Project Spotlight
Check out Altsmoke, a booming retail establishment based in Columbus, Ohio. Amy Schuermann Interiors was hired to create a sophisticated, club like atmosphere for their latest retail store in Cincinnati. Our team evaluated a bare space in poor condition and created a beautiful environment where customers come in to relax and purchase products. The store was so successful that we have designed and furnished 4 additional locations!

ASI In the News 
Amy Schuermann Interiors is excited to be featured in two upcoming prominent Interior Design Publications: Sophisticated Living, a high end luxury life-style magazine, and Design Bureau, an International Design magazine. Sophisticated Living will focus on Amy's own home which she personally designed. It will showcase several photos depicting Amy's eclectic, elegant style. Amy Schuermann Interiors will also be featured as a DB100 with Design Bureau, listing her firm as one of the top 100 design firms in the country. The article will highlight her team as well as feature two recent, prominent projects.

What is a good design solution for a formal living or dining room that gets little use?
Answer:
There really are no rules. Think about your lifestyle and the space that you are lacking. For example, if you like to read, consider a study with a chaise lounge; if you like wine, consider a wine or entertainment room; if you have children, you may want to consider a game room or play room. The possibilities are endless!
